Putting Something Back

The Cameron Foster Foundation is a charity set up to create a legacy from the Paralympic Games in 2012. Providing funding, equipment, support and facilities for young disabled people to participate in sport and lead an active, healthy lifestyle, the charity was recently launched at an event at the Imperial War Museum North, in Manchester.

Collins Building Solutions was proud to support the launch, sponsoring a table at the event, which was hosted by Sky Sports presenter Adam Leventhal. Around 200 people came along, enjoying a raffle, entertainment and an auction of signed sports memorabilia.

18-year-old Cameron was seriously injured in a 40-foot fall from a ski lift in 2005, when he was just nine. Since then, he has raised tens of thousands of pounds for sports equipment for disabled people and was a torch bearer for the Olympic flame relay.
